WORKSHEET
WORKSHEET
The following worksheet is aimed at students between 9 and 11 years old (3rd to 5th grade). This worksheet will seek to develop new vocabulary in students. It will work on:
1. Common nouns: Names of musical instruments
2. Spelling: Correctly writing the names of instruments
Structure
It is divided into 3 phases. In the first, students must solve a 10-word word search puzzle. Once finished, and having become familiar with some of the words, they will move on to the second phase, which consists of writing the name of each musical instrument based on the image of each one. As a help, they can use the number of lines to infer the name of the instrument according to the image and the number of letters. Finally, activity 3 is a listening phase, where they will listen to the attached audio, which contains 5 fragments of different songs. The objective will be to listen to each fragment and write in front of each artist the name of the instrument that each one said. In the audio, the name of the artist is mentioned before presenting each fragment. It should be noted that the musical instruments worked on in this phase have already been worked on in the previous phases.
Note: To work on this worksheet, students will need to use a dictionary.
Our opinion
In our opinion, physical worksheets of this type are so useful for scenarios where internet connection or the use of digital instruments such as computers or cell phones are not a possibility. Thanks to tools such as Lumi, it is amazingly easy to generate authentic and unique materials. Since they are unique, one can adapt them to one's own classroom. It is very easy to use.
